Direct Contact Exhibitions, first launched in 1987, has staged more than 2,000 regional events for building and construction professionals throughout the UK and Ireland. This simple fact makes DCE the most experienced and leading organisers in the business.

Exhibitions

2008 will see DCE return to its original roots with a comprehensive series of product exhibitions.

Effectively, there are two strings to the DCE bow - the Building Envelope events and the External Environment series.

In 2008, there are 10 Building, Maintenance & Construction Exhibitions and 7 Roofing Problems & Solutions exhibitions.

On the External side, there are 6 Landscaping exhibitions and 3 Civils exhibitions.

Seminars

For the first six/seven years these events were focussed product exhibitions then, in 1993 CPD became an issue and DCE introduced technical seminars.

As exhibiting companies became more proficient with presentations, appreciating the efficiency of the soft sell educational format, the DCE CPD Seminars became exceptional and exclusive routes to market.

Each event is themed so that presenting companies have complimentary 'partner' seminars on the same programme but no direct competition.

In 2008, there are 22 different locations for Building Solutions/Roofs, Floors & Walls seminars with 8 Civils & External Works and 10 Parks & Play dates.

Publications

The DCE Publications division has grown organically from the event activity.

All the visitor data collated from the exhibition and seminar registrations created the initial controlled circulations. The continuing exhibition and seminar presentations help to maintain, sustain and refresh the circulation mailing lists.

The DCE Publications are also used to promote the DCE events - Synergy in action!
