Direct Contact Exhibitions, first launched in 1987, has staged more than 2,000 regional events for building and construction professionals throughout the UK and Ireland. This simple fact makes DCE the most experienced and leading organisers in the business.

Exhibitions

In 2007 DCE returned to its original roots with the staging of themed product exhibitions.

In 2009, there are a number of different themes:

• Buildingex - Building Maintenance And Construction
• Landscapex - External environment topics such as street landscape and play.
• Roofex - Roofing problems and solutions
• JerseyAbility - The first channel islands show featuring access systems and care equipment.

Seminars

When CPD became the issue in 1993, DCE was the first organiser of regional events to recognise the need to deliver "Technical Updating" by way of relaxed and informed, but very informative, seminar presentations.

The 2009 seminar series have three themes.

• Building Solutions
• Civils And External Works
• Parks And Play

Publications

The DCE Publications division has grown organically from the event activity.

All the visitor data collated from the registrations to the exhibitions and seminars creates the databases for the development of the individual controlled circulations.

The continuing event staging helps maintain, sustain and refresh the mailing lists.

Some DCE publications are published primarily to promote the DCE events. At the same time, they offer advertisers exceptional and effective routes to market.
